Upcycling Lab: Sustainable Design at Zero Kilometers

“Things Don’t End; They Change Form and Are Reborn”

Luigi Dorella will present Nova Vision srl, the company that has been producing “GREENK” (green&ink) since 2010—a special water-based color for digital decoration processes that is entirely environmentally friendly and developed specifically for “interior design” applications.

Since 2018, under the brand THINK U Unique Design Solution, the company has been creating bespoke solutions for furniture and the design industry using the GREENK digital process.

Serial productions, always with a focus on environmental protection, are produced under the brand “THINK green design solution”, interpreting materials and home objects with the potential of the GREENK process.

During the presentation, Luigi Dorella will illustrate the potential of the GREENK decoration process, including its main applications, advantages and disadvantages, and the unique elements that characterize it. The presentation will be supported by samples and photographic documentation of some realizations.

A significant case history showcasing the peculiarities of the process will also be presented.

Nova Vision was founded in Settimo Torinese, continuing the Ghelco project established in 1993. In 2010, the GREENK process (green&ink) was developed—a special eco-compatible color designed for the decoration and customization of materials for furniture, particularly compatible with natural materials. Since then, Nova Vision has been involved in eco-sustainable productions and processes.

Luigi Dorella, trained at the artistic high school and in an artisanal workshop for the production of screen prints and litho and flexographic prints, has been involved in printing and visual communication since 1980. In 1993, he co-founded Ghelco srl and later TCG Technology Communication Group with bases in Turin, Barcelona, and Zurich. He and his team developed the expertise and know-how that led to the launch of a special water-based color for high-end applications in 2003, which culminated in 2010 with the founding of Nova Vision Company and its THINK U and Think processes.
